ICC World Cup 2011
Groups for World Cup 2011 were decided in yesterday’s meeting of ICC. India has been awarded Group B which consist other team as South Africa, England, West Indies, Ireland and Netherlands. India will have to compete mostly against SA, ENG and WI. On the other hand, what most people expected didn’t happen, as Pakistan put in Group A.
It is worth to mention that India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will jointly host the World Cup of 2011. Earlier, Including all three Asian Cricket Nations, Pakistan bid for the World Cup Host. In ICC meeting of April, it was decided to put Pakistan off from the World Cup as Host because of Security reasons with quoting recent example of Attack on Sri Lankan players in Lahore.
